With the highest low point on Earth, Lesotho is a country literally built in the mountains.
Landlocked and held by South Africa, this huge and beautiful landscape is home to a people full of rich cultural traditions and whose main method of transport is still horses.
The distinctive blankets you'll see here hold a very special in Basotho culture. They are intended to accompany the wearer for life. They will be swaddled in it as an infant and then laid to rest in it when they pass. Each blanket features a pattern that tells a story about the country's past.
This series of images was shot around the highlands of Thaba-Thseka. They are intended to celebrate the beauty of Lesotho, from its huge dams to its dazzling night skies to the beautiful people who inhabit it.
